Problem 1 A gas may be considered rarefied, that is, it can not be studied with theories based on the continuum assumption, if it contains less than 100 molecules per cubic millimeter. Consider a tank of nitrogen gas at unknown pressure and a temperature of 202 K. What pressure does the gas has to be in order to be considered as rarefied? (Remember that Avogadro's number tells you that a gas contains 6.023 x 102 molecules per mole.) X
