The data are clear that nicotine replacement therapy works, withpatients having a 2-4x greater chance of quitting tobacco thanthose in control groups. However, that is only one way oflooking at the data. When I look at Figure 11.1 in thislecture I see another way of looking at the data that paints a muchmore pessimistic picture. We still have a long ways togo. What is this other interpretation that I am making?
