Hello, this is my first time posing something like this. I washoping to get help with my chemistry lab report. I will try tobreak down the lab experiment the best I can. If you know of anexperiment similar to this, that will be greater for clarificationon this post. The lab used 2 different dyes, red and blue, usingpipets to measure each volume into a Volumetric flask (the volumewas 2mL, 4mL, 6mL, and 10mL). Each dye was then diluted until theflask reached the 10mL mark, but we did dilute the 10mL dye. Thesolution (I think that the proper term to call it to know) is thenplaced into a cuvette which is placed into a spectrometer and givesus the concentration of each dye. The spectrometer then gives usthe graph that was filled with the color range (I'm sorry I don'tknow how to describe it) We then measured out 10mL of Gatorade thatwas the same color as red and blue (the blue had some green to it,which is important to the experiment). We also didn't dilute this.We then used a Beer's Law Plot the graph the concentration v.volume. My question is how do you define the concept of Absorbance, Beer's Law Plot, and dilution, and how does thisconnect to this experiment.
