Below is the binding curve diagram for hemoglobin at differentpH levels and in the presence and absence of carbon dioxide. Whydoes 40 torr carbon dioxide (CO2) shift the blue curve to theright? Why does pH 7.4 shift the blue curve to the left? (Hint:reference T and R state in your response)
