Itshould also be mentioned that county DAs and Prosecutors often havea major role in these cases. The FBI gets involved mainly due tothe wire fraud statutes along with the interstate aspects of thesecrimes. Organizations like the Securities and Exchange Commission,The US Treasury Department, The US Attorney, and the GovernmentAccountability Office play major roles. There are a couple of otheragencies that play an often unseen and unrecognized, yet importantrole.
