Jill went to art college and made jewellery, which she sold to her friends, from semi-precious stones that she bought cheap while travelling in far east and India. When she left college, she worked from home, making highly individual pieces that sold to a local gift shop. Gradually, her name became known as an interesting designer, and she was able to sell her jewellery in several shops.
