GROUP ASSIGNMENT: The effective sales presentation is built with a strategic plan. Every step of the sale, from the approach to servicing the sale, is carefully planned in advance. A well-planned sales presentation is not memorized. It is a logically planned outline that carries the salesperson's own thoughts from one step to the next. This project will be your outline for strategically planning a sales presentation. The following outline should be used in preparing the team's PowerPoint which your team will be presenting orally. Each team will select a product from the list below and create the company and the details of your selected product to present in a sales presentation. Outline for Preparation of Manual Title Page I. II. 1. Name of your team 2. Name of the members of your team (with student ID) 3. Name of product to be sold. 4. Name of company you are selling for. Developing a Product Strategy 1. Describe the company 2. Describe the product, the product features and create a specific scenario which your product is the solution 3. Describe the technical expertise needed by salesperson to sell this product 4. Develop feature benefits worksheet. 5. Is this a new and emerging or mature and well-established product? 6. Will you use a price or value-added product strategy? Why? Developing a Customer Strategy 1. Describe who your prospects are i.e. use demographics (age, generation, income, educational attainment, profession etc..) 2. Describe the typical buying motives of your prospect for this product. 3. Describe the typical prospect as an individual (or as a company representative, if appropriate). 4. How/where are you going to identify the prospects of your product? III. Summation / Conclusion: 1. Who are your immediate competitors and which is the market leader. Provide specific information. 2.
