would you please provide me the source code for thisproblem?
I am asked to provide a source code using javamsql
THANK YOU
Assume that data are maintained on airports around the country for a company that offers a flight chartering service for college basketball teams. The company gathers information from a wide variety of sources but has had considerable difficulty obtaining data on runway surfaces at airports located in small college towns. Company pilots need access to this information when they land, either at airports such as these or when they must land at small airports that are not located in college towns. As a result, as shown here, they have created a RUNWAY_SURFACE entity type separate from a RUNWAY entity type. Airport name Airport id O AIRPORT 1 Contains Runway length Runway_no m AIRPORT RUNWAY Runway_width 1 Consists of Surface type O Runway_no RUNWAY SURFACE Surface condition a. What does the cardinality ratio and participation constraint suggest about some airport runways in the Consists of relationship? b. How might the Presentation Layer ER diagram be revised to make the relationship between an airport runway and runway surface more efficient?
a) The cardinality ratio between entities AIRPORT RUNWAY and RUNWAY_SURFACE is 1:1 which depicts that each airport runway at an airport exactly consists of one runway surface. The 1:1 cardinality depicts the involvement of only one-one instance of each entity. The participation constraint depicts that there is a full participation of AIRPORT_RUNWAY in the relationship Consist of, that is each AIRPORT RUNWAY must consist of RUNWAY_SURFACE.A partial participation of RUNWAY_SURFACE entity depicts that the RUNWAY_SURFACE may or may not be a part of the AIRPORT_RUNWAY. Comment b) The presentation layer ER diagram for the given problem can be revised and made more efficient by adding the following data. Adding attributes to entity RUNWAY_SURFACE for determining the type of runway that can help the determining the type of runway: Step 2 of 2 ^ a) Runway status, a derived attribute which determines the availability of the RUNWAY_SURFACE for landing. b) Runway_availibility a derived multi-valued attribute that stores the runway numbers of the currently available runways. The consists of relationship can also contain an optional attribute status determining the operation status of a RUNWAY_SURFACE. The ER diagram is shown below: Airport id Airport_name Runway_no AIRPORT Contains Runway_length TIITL AIRPORT RUNWAY Rumvay_width Consists of Status Runway no Surface_type RUNWAY SURFACE Runway status Surface_condition Runway availability
