A pump with a power input of 2hp to supply a field at 50ft abovethe pump. If the water enters the pump at 14.7 psi and 70 F, andleaves at 71 F and 14.7 psi. Negate the water velocity, onsteady-state, steady flow and neglecting any heattransfer.
a) what is the increase in specific potential energy of thewater from the pump inlet to outlet in both (Btu/lbm) and(lbf-ft/lbm)?
b)what is the increase in specific enthalpy of thewater from the pump inlet to outlet in both (Btu/lbm) and (lbf-ft/lbm)?
c) the mass flow rate f liquid water of the field (lbm/min)
d) the volumetric flow rate of the water to the field inft^3/min (CFM) and gallon/min (GPM)
