In a recent lab project, we were asked to calculate the Ka of aweak acid using data from a titration curve (volume of NaOHdelivered plotted against pH measured). We were specifically toldto use only data from before the equivalence point to do so.
I'm curious as to why using data after the equivalence pointwould be unhelpful in solving for the Ka.
Any help on this is greatly appreciated!
