Question: PQL Events has negotiated a contract with a band, theRolling Stars, a deposit of $15,000 was paid to the band. The bandis to be the headline for a special event on Christmas Eve. Justprior to the event, the band’s lead singer Micky Roy was involvedin a car accident where he was a passenger in a car. The hospitaladvised that Micky was seriously injured and it could be somemonths before he is able to re-join the band. The band has nochoice but to cancel the event. PQL is contemplating legal actionto recoup costs incurred and non-attendance by the band. Required:Advise both parties to the contract if and why the contract can bevoided.
