Analysis of an Autotransformer with equivalent circuit components (Lab project) Objective: In depth analysis of transformer and its equivalent circuit while using a normal transformer as autotransformer to cope with the low voltage problem encountered in summers. P3(400V) P2(230V) S4(115V) Tasks • Draw the equivalent circuit based on the values determined in lab # 04 using open circuit test and short circuit test. • If the transformer is to be used for step-up autotransformer how will the equivalent circuit change. S3(ov) S2(115V) P1(0v) S1(0v) P1, P2 and P3 terminal points of the primary side of the transformer. S1, S2, S3 and 54 are the terminals of the secondary side of the transformer. Deliverables: • Project Report with necessary calculations and explanations • Clearly stated conclusion supported by the calculations and diagrams.
