3. (A) State the Hardy-Weinberg Equilibrium Principle, (B) Explain the Founder Effect and how it affects this equilibrium, (C) What other events could push the population out of equilibrium (briefly explain each, don't just list them) 4. The green bee-eater Merops orientalis (a bird) prefers to feed on yellow butterflies. The butterfly species Catopsilia pyranthe is primarily yellow. However, some individuals in its population are solid green. You sample the population and find that out of 400 captured butterflies you have 325 yellow and 75 green butterflies. (A) What is the frequency of p and q? (B) What is the frequency of heterozygous individuals, carrying both the yellow and green alleles?, (C) If the bee-eater ate more yellow butterflies, because the green are better camouflaged, would you expect the frequency of q to change in future generations? Why? How?
