In your assessment this semester, you have produced maps assessing the performance of high-speed rail alignments against criteria, and maps displaying hazards, vulnerabilities and risks of natural disasters. Drawing from either or both of these contexts, discuss the different spatial visualisation techniques you could use to visualise the outputs of your GIS analysis. In your answer, talk about traditional maps - including the application of visual variables to communicate different types of information - as well as other spatial visualisations besides typical maps.
