Background: Companies must routinely evaluate the performance of their carriers to ensure their customers are being provided the level of customer service they require (and deserve!). An example of a carrier scorecard is presented on page 451 of the textbook. Your assignment is to create a carrier scorecard to evaluate the three largest less-than- truckload (LTL) carriers for AubieCo. You will use the Additional Data spreadsheet to complete this assignment. The spreadsheet contains two tabs: ● The first tab contains four summary reports showing shipment volume and quality statistics for AubieCo's three largest carriers. The second tab contains a carrier scorecard template. Assignment: Use the summary reports as input to create your own carrier scorecard that compares the performance of the Top 3 carriers. You will need to enter values in the green shaded areas of the template. Scores for each carrier, for each criterion, will be calculated automatically. The total of the weights entered in the Weight Factor column must equal 100. Four criteria exist in the template. You will need to develop your own 5th criterion to complete the scorecard. The 5th evaluation element must be different from the first four criteria, and it must be based on summary report data from the first tab. You may develop additional calculations from the summary report data to create your own KPIs, but make sure the new KPI(s) make sense and are actually useful in evaluating the performance of each carrier. Once you have completed your scorecard develop three conclusions from the scorecard results. Enter these in the area below the scorecard. When you have competed the assignment, rename the assignment with your name and submit the assignment through Canvas.
