Subdural hematomas: Involve an acute bleed of the meningeal arteries. Occur between the cranial bones and the dura mater. Can decrease cerebral perfusion pressure. Are typically caused by berry aneurysms that burst. Occur deep within the brain tissue, e.g., within the frontal lobe.
