The table below indicates the concentrations inside and outside the cells of a few key ions in 2 different solutions: Intracellular Na+ 6.5mM Extracellular 1 650mM 32.5mM Extracellular 2 65mM 3250MM K+ 325mM For reference, the Nernst equation Ex=60/z log10 ([X1]/[X2]) a) What is the Nernst potential for each ion in solution 1? (5 pts) b) What is the Nernst potential for each ion in solution 2? (5 pts) c) You measure a cell's resting potential in solution 1, and find that it is +72.5mV (inside with respect to outside). What is the relative conductance the cell for Na and K? (oive a number, a fraction is ok but be clear which lon has greater conductance) (5 pts)
