Name HLTH1100: Older Adult/Drug Nutrient Interaction Case Study KR is an 82 year old male who presents to his primary physican complaining of being short of breath and episodes of being lightheaded. He is 6 feet tall and weighs 180 pounds. He has been having problems walking PMH (Past Medical History, includes a 4V (4 vessel) CABG coronary artery bypass graft) six years ago, 2 cardiac stents, periodic low blood pressure 10 year history of smoking the quit 20+ years ago), a discectomy and laminectomy. He states he is taking his medications as prescribed by his physician which includes a baby aspirin, Warfarin (Coumadinl, Plavix, Prilosec and Hydrocodone. He has been tired lately so he has not been taking his dog out to the dog run for her daily run. He has recently started taking a multivitamin because he thought it might help with being tired, Vitamin E and Coenzyme Q10 because his friend said they are good for his heart and fish oil because he's heard it is good for memory.
