CASE STUDY 3 (PLEASE HELP) (CAN USE F*GMA)
Designing a ‘shopping for furniture’ app
You are the UX consultant asked to design a new mobile app for a giant furniture retail. You plan to build this app and use augmented reality (AR) to the experience pf shopping for furniture and home goods. If your put yourself into your customer’s shoes, you will know that one of the major challenges when shopping for interior design, or in this case furniture is knowing whether something will fit well into their space whether it will look good with their existing furniture. Your task is to help your customer for to take away the stress of furniture shopping by giving users the confidence of purchasing the most appropriate furniture for their homes. Just point, click and choose – then viola! Customer will get an inside look at how that furniture will look in their space.
Questions:
1. Plan what your app will actually do to achieve the purpose. List all the possible features that you will include in your app and define the added value of your app compared to others similar app.
2. Create a storyboard for your app.
3. Define the desired user journey mapping, sketch the proposed wireframe/design of the app for prototype, and provide clear explanation about each element inside the sketch and why it is there.
4. When you complete the prototype of your app, you will need to evaluate. How do you plan to do the evaluation? Define your plan and the list of questions that you will include.
