With reference to the Contracts Act 1950 or any case law, answerthe following questions. (a) Alpha Medical Company placed anadvertisement in NST, Star, Berita Harian and other newspaper fortheir products, stating that any person who purchased and usedtheir product, herbal syrup but still contracted Covid-19 despiteproperly following the instructions would be entitled to a RM1,000reward. The advertisement further stated that the company haddemonstrated its sincerity by placing RM10,000 in Maybank accountto act as the reward. Sarah saw the advertisement and purchased theherbal syrup and, despite properly using it, she contractedCovid-19 and attempted to claim the RM1,000 reward from the AlphaMedical Company. Alpha Medical Company contended that they couldnot be bound because it was an advertisement. Advise Sarah whethershe is entitled to the reward of RM1,000.
