There is a report on school kids and hunger. Does this make it more difficult for these kids to succeed in school? Though many school aged children suffer from malnutrition, many other children in the US do not. What do you think are the causes of this type of structural inequality in the US?
What are some of the consequences of living in a country - or for the people of that country - to live in a society with such large disparities in social stratification? Does a wide range of stratification create a more harmonious country or a more contentious one?
