A combustor currently operates on high-sulfur waste coal (gob coal). To reduce sulfur emissions, some pelletized waste is used to displace 10% by weight of the gob coal. The heating values of pelletized waste and gob coal are 6,550 Btu/lb and 5,500 Btu/lb, respectively.
