Gambang Resort City development is proposed on a 500 ha. land. The development comprises of a 500 room luxury hotel, 200 units of private apartments, a 25,000 m² Gambang Shopping Mall, an international school accommodating 700 students and a 27-hole golf course. i) Calculate the peak flow in m³/day for the above development. (8 Marks) ii) Two rectangular primary clarifiers are 6 m wide, 12 m long and 3.0 m deep, each. Each clarifier is used alternately to treat wastewater from the above development. Calculate the surface overflow rate (m/day) and detention time (hour). (4 Marks)
