A steam power plant operates between the pressure limits of 3 MPa and 50 kPa. The temperature of the steam at the turbine inlet is 300° C, and the mass flow rate is 35 kg/s. Assume the pump and turbine are isentropic. Determine: a: Cycle thermal efficiency b: Energy out per unit mass. C: Net power output. Solve problem 1 for assuming pump and turbine are not isentropic. The Polytropic efficiency of turbine is 80%. The Polytropic efficiency of the pump is 90%.
