Nodal analysis
Procedure Task 1: Nodal Analysis Make all the required connections for the given circuit below on the prototyping board. 10 V (+ R1 ww www R3 R2 ww R4 R5 Figure 2: Task 1 Circuit 1. Insert 10 Volts from the variable power supply to the circuit. Let R₁=47092, R₂=1kN, R3=3.3kΩ, R4=1kΩ, R5=2.2kΩ. 2. Connect the Digital Multi Meter across each resistor in the circuit to measure the voltage, and then record your results in the table 1. 3. Connect the DMM to measure the current in each branch. 4. Calculate the voltage across each resistor and the current passing in each branch.
Results and Discussion Task 1 Table 1: Task 1 Results R1 R2 R3 R4 R5 ● ● ● Measured V 2.9659 4.1473 7.0121 2.8653 2.8653 Calculated V Error Measured I Calculated I Error 0.00625 0.00408 0.00210 0.00279 0.00121 Write down the node equations for the currents. Calculate the values of the currents and voltages using the node equations and fill in the table. List few reasons why such an error exists. Find the error between the measured and the calculated and fill in the table. What will happen if we add another resistor on the empty wire between R4 and R5? Describe how the circuit will change.
