I am looking for help with configuring this network. I am tryingto configure R1 with interfaces f0/0 and f0/1. However, I am havingtrouble with assigning the correct IP address to use for f0/0. whenI try assigning the address ending in .254 I am getting a badsubnet mask error. If anyone could add some feedback that wouldhelp! As you can I will eventually use EIGRP on R1, butit seems like I'm running into an error when trying to apply thecorrect IP address on the correct interfaces.
I originally tried these commands
conf t
int f0/0
ip add 192.168.1.254 255.255.255.0
but this caused an error
