Michael needs to cut strips of licorice to sell at the candy sale. He has a large piece of licorice that is 234 feet long. Each strip needs to be 1/2 foot long, and he needs 6 strips. The Number System 18 (a) Does he have enough licorice to make 6 strips of the appropriate length? (b) How many strips can he make? (c) Is there any licorice left over? How can this length be represented?
