Background Communities in least developed countries, which include Zambia, are faced with a number of nutritional related problems that are public health issues. To mitigate on some of these issues requires intervention programs utilizing the nutrition window of opportunity. The approach to mitigate on some these nutritional challenges/problems requires developing a plan, that when implemented, will change the picture of the nutrition challenge/problem. This process of analyzing the challenge and coming up with a plan (technical document/proposal) forms a process that is part of nutritional planning and intervention.
