1) Write a teaching plan based on this scenario
Mason, a 40 year old father of a 2-year-old boy Jack who had not
been immunized against polio, went through an assessment with me.
During the assessment, I discovered that Jack was unvaccinated
since he was born. Mason didn't feel the need to take his child for
polio vaccination despite many parents taking their children for
the vaccination to protect against the disease. He was uncertain
and concerned about the safety of the vaccination. Due to his
different background and educational experiences as a refugee from
an agricultural country, he has an inclination towards traditional
social practices and wellbeing. There was either a lack of data or
a misperception about the antibody's state of health that led to
this decision. Mason and other parents with knowledge deficits
about immunization may have a difficult time accepting some
disproven and incorrect beliefs.
2) Write a role play script of the teaching plan of the nurse
teaching the patient who is the Mason about childhood
immunizations.
Integration of appropriate therapeutic communication
techniques.
Include the method of evaluation in the video.
