What can be an enhancement to a nursing program? Such as a
certain club or activity or project that nursing students can do
that is an original idea and not something already included in
nursing programs.
EXAMPLE: A journalism student might propose that the department
host a “Newsroom Daily” optional Saturday event for students. The
faculty would set up a mock web publication newsroom at the
college. They would invite volunteer reporters, news editors, web
editors, photographers and layout designers from local media
outlets to staff the mock newsroom. Students would spend a Saturday
trying out the reporting and specific editing roles as the group
simulated covering a major news story. After participating,
students would take away a better understanding of specific
newsroom jobs and their inter-relation as well as have networking
opportunities with local media companies. The media volunteers
would enjoy a chance to “pay it forward” and recruit potential
interns
