The graph below shows the load-deformation response of a cylinder that is 150 mm in diameter. 10 vertical units equal to 125 kN and 10 horizontal units equal to a strain value of c-0.0005. A full page graph is also posted for easy view. a) Determine the maximum compressive strength of the concrete, fa and the strain that corresponds to that stress level, &e using one of the curves. b) Determine the Elasticity Modulus of this concrete specimen. c) On the same graph draw the parabolic model of force-strain response of a concrete cylinder with the same for and Eo. Compare the two plots. & d) Determine the strain corresponding to a stress level of 12 MPa from the graph and then calculate it simply using the parabolic relationship.
