Explain how two beams resist to the loads. Sketch the deformation and stress states for both beams. (9 points) A column of length / with pinned ends is loaded compressively. The yield strength Sy of the beam is 689 MPa and Young's modulus is E-203 GPa. b) Calculate the length of beam until the Johnson's equation is good (valid) to predict the buckling of this beam.
