2. A shock absorber under a farming equipment has an outside diameter of 77 mm and wire diameter of 7 mm as illustrated. The farming equipment has four spring shock absorbers symmetrically mounted underneath it. Each spring has 9 coils. Seven coils are free and each of end coils are preset and fixed. The shock absorber spring is made of ASTM A401 material. As mounted, each spring pitch is 25 mm. a. Estimate the stiffness of each spring in (N/m). (10 Pts) b. Estimate how much additional force compresses all springs solid from their current mounted state as shown. (5 Pts) c. Verify each spring will survive when compressed solid?
