Problem 2 pg sin a A thin film of water flows down an inclined plane with angle a to the horizontal. The velocity profile is given by, u(y) 2u -y(2h – y) and does not vary in the flow direction. The film thickness (h) also remains the same everywhere. Find an expression for the drag force on a section of plate L long by b wide (into the page). Draw the direction of the drag force exerted by the flowing fluid on the plane.
