A P-51 Mustang (a WWII vintage plane) is tested in the large wind tunnel at NASA Ames. The aircraft has an integrated pitot-static probe. We want to test the P-51 at a flight speed of 160 mph and altitude of 40,000 ft. The wind tunnel's test section has a cross-sectional area of 5000 ft2 and a reservoir area of 100,000 ft2. What pressure is needed in the reservoir to drive this flow? Hints: Similar to the previous problem, determine if the flow can be considered incompressible. We can also assume the flow through the tunnel is a Potential Flow.
