m Example-6: Find area of tensile and compression reinforcement required for a rectangular beam 300 mm x 550 mm effective for the factored moment of 400 kN.m. The effective cover for the tensile and compression steel are 50 mm and 40 mm respectively. Take M-20 concrete mix and Fe-415 steel as reinforcement. (May 2016, Oct. 2016)
