Question 1 a) The queuing time for senior citizens to jab vaccine at Kompleks Sukan Titiwangsa is normally distributed with a standard deviation of 3 minutes. An officer has proposed a plan to improve the queuing time at the complex. To study the effectiveness of the proposed plan, 120 senior citizens were selected at random and the mean queuing time taken (in minutes) to get the vaccine after the proposed plan was implemented was found to be 40 minutes. In addition, of the 120 senior citizens, 55 senior citizens spent at least 45 minutes in this study. (ii) According to the officer, 65% of the senior citizens took at least 45 minutes to queue before the proposed plan was implemented. Test at 3.8% level of significance, the hypothesis that the proportion of senior citizens took at least 45 minutes to queue is less than 65%, after the implementation of the proposed plan. (8 marks)
