A recent study analysing data from 242,000 matches played by 16,665 players of League of Legends, a popular multiplayer online battle arena game, between May 2014 and January 2016. The data showed that players who took regular breaks, on average, performed better than those who did not take regular breaks. Which conclusion(s) can we draw from this study? Performing better wore out the players and caused them to take more breaks. . For any two players in this study, the one who took more breaks also had better performance. There was an association between taking breaks and better performance, but it's not necessarily a causal relationship. Taking regular breaks caused the players to perform better. Any player in this study can perform better by taking more breaks.
