Two independent samples have the same sample number (n1 =
n2=100) and the sample standard deviation are identical
(s1=s2=10) .
The sample information shows that the 95% Confidence Intervals of
the two population means overlap by 1. Is there enough evidence to
show the two population means are different (α =5%)?
