The dyes present in unknown H were Bromocresol Purple and yMethyl Orange. The distance traveled by the spots was very close, between 2mm difference for bromocresol purple and unknown H. The yellow color of the methyl orange in the basic elution solvent was identical to the unknown H yellow color. When the TLC plate was dropped into the 1 M HCI, the unknown H matched with the Bromocresol Purple and methyl orange. The Rf values were also very similar and close.
