In the table below, calibration data is provided for a
sensor:
a) Find the ideal I/O ratio for this sensor (find the equation of
the ideal straight line).
b) Calculate maximum nonlinearity (both numerical value and as a
percentage of output range).
c) To transfer the measurement as a voltage to a computer, a
constant current of 5.0 mA is sent
through a resistance. What becomes the ideal I/O ratio for the
measuring element now?
d) As a result of environmental factors, it turns out that the
power source now provides 5.02 mA. Is this a modifier
or disruptive environmental factor?
e) What will be the percentage measurement error at 100 degrees
celsius as a result of environmental effects?
