Medication package insert Dilution instructions for IV route: Withdraw 2 mg naloxone into a syringe and note the volume. Using an additional syringe, withdraw and discard a volume equal to the volume of naloxone from a 500 mL 0.9% sodium chloride infusion bag. Finally, add the 2 mg of naloxone to the 500-ml infusion bag and gently mix by inversion before administration. Do not shake the diluted naloxone infusion bag.
