8) You are the local EMS medical director for a large city. The dose of epinephrine used in CPR varies within and across EMS groups around the country. You want to assess the effectiveness of low versus high dose epinephrine in performing CPR for the primary outcome return of spontaneous circulation (ROSC). Your colleagues are dismayed by the practical and regulatory problems in conducting a clinical trial of CPR and are leaning towards performing an observational study. a) What type of trial design might you create to minimize bias relative to that of an observational study? b) What might you do to increase feasibility in that trial design?
