Mr. Dash is an alert and oriented 83-year-old resident
living in a long-term care facility. He has partial left leg
paralysis due to a congenital condition and normally uses a quad
cane to ambulate independently. He recently experienced a fall in
the bathroom two days ago and bruised his right knee, and now
requires assistance to ambulate. He has no previous history
of falls. He now admits that he is afraid he could fall again and
is limiting his mobility. His skin is dry and intact. He has
occasional urinary urgency and frequency. He is not currently
taking any medications.
