Please answer the following;
a) What properties or characteristics does the chemical diethyl
ether have which makes it suitable as a solvent for carrying out
an
acid base extraction?
b) Different factors in an experiment can affect the seperation
for a base, acid and neutral compound. What would limit the
total amount that each species could be extracted from
solution. How pure would the extraction of the base, acid
and neutral compound be?
