2. (a) i. ii. An Amplitude Modulated transmitter has a carrier power of 13 kW and transmits 15 kW when modulated with a single sine wave. Calculate the modulation index. If the carrier is simultaneously modulated with another sine wave at 45 percent modulation, calculate the total transmitted power. With the aid of a diagram, use Modulation Index, m, to explain the difference between under-modulated wave and over-modulated wave. Describe the problem that could be caused by over modulation.
