You are working with a new client, Mrs. Indira Pradesh, who is
at the moderate stage of dementia. This means that, while she is
still living in her family home, Mrs. Pradesh is struggling to
think clearly and is often unable to recognize family members or
friends. She has limited skills in daily living activities such as
cooking and is neglectful of her personal hygiene and eating. Mrs.
Pradesh is also often restless, with a tendency to wander.
Unfortunately, due to her dementia, she can easily become lost in
known, as well as unknown, places. Mrs. Pradesh lives with her
husband, Ajay, who has limited experience caring for a person with
dementia. While their extended family is supportive, Ajay is
struggling to cope. However, he is determined to keep his wife at
home for as long as possible. Question 5. Outline what you will
consider when you evaluate the implemented strategies with the
support planning team so that you ensure its effectiveness in
minimizing the impact of Mrs. Pradesh’s behaviors. (150
