A retrospective study is conducted to determine whether use of tanning beds is associated with the risk of basal cell carcinoma (a common form of skin cancer). For analysis, tanning bed use (TanMin) is denominated in minutes per week in the five years prior to diagnosis. Other relevant factors included in the regression model are eye color (Eye) (blue=1; all others=0), work location (Work) (outside=1 inside-0), and history of severe sunburns as a child (two indicator variables: Sun1 - any vs. none/many; and Sun2 - many vs. any/none). The resulting model looks like this: Parameter Standard Error DF Estimate Chi-Square Pr > ChiSq 1 1 Intercept TanMin Eye Work Sunl Sun2 2.851 0.0741 1.0537 0.539 0.6606 0.8352 1.384 0.0311 0.2661 0.3433 0.361 0.2747 4.25 5.69 15.69 2.45 3.35 9.26 0.039 0.017
