Please help me with this question:
An experiment was conducted on the speed of a vehicle
and the distance it takes to stop. It was believed that there was a
relationship between distance and speed that could be studied
through a simple linear regression model.
Determine the coefficients of the model, given the following
information:
Sample size: 33
Average of X: 15
Sum of Y: 1373
Sum of (X ^ 2): 8325
Sum of (X * Y): 20189
Sxx: 900
Sxy: -406
Syy: 18979.88
Then, with the obtained linear regression model, determine at what
distance a vehicle with a speed of 14 miles / hours will
stop.
Also, calculate the coefficient of determination for the
model.
Answer for the coefficient bo (2 decimal places without
rounding):
Answer for the coefficient b1 (2 decimal places without
rounding):
Answer for the new Y value (2 decimal places without
rounding):
Answer for the Coefficient of Determination R2 (5 decimal places
without rounding):
What do you think about the fit of the model (1/2/3/4)
?:
1 = BAD R2 <0.4
2 = REGULAR 0.4 <R2 <0.6
3 = GOOD 0.6 <R2 <0.8
4 = EXCELLENT R2> 0.8
