Instructions:
1. Drawing on your past professional
experience, identify safety competencies for a nursing service
that you provided and that you believe could be improved upon.
2. Describe how you would identify specific changes that
could be made, so that patient safety is promoted.
3. What action plan could you create to resolve problems
that might arise, and how would you communicate results?
4. Summarize the plan you have outlined for improving the
culture of patient safety. Include a description of how the changes
you have indicated will contribute to a quality practice
environment, and post your summary here.
5. Read your fellow students' postings, and respond to
one or two of their postings with feedback about how their improved
patient safety measures might or might not contribute to the
practice environment.
